Interdisciplinary Student Projects in Intercultural Communication: A Case Study of EAP and Chinese Language Course and Assessment Collaboration


The integration of Chinese and international undergraduates at DKU has been identified as an area of concern. Faculty members from the Language and Culture Center (LCC) have been discussing ways to address the “silo” effects of students often defaulting to staying within familiar cultural groups. To address this, a team comprising three undergraduate EAP faculty and four Chinese language (CSL) faculty members is working on initiatives to facilitate joint language and intercultural communication learning opportunities for students.
